Look up!  God created great abundance everywhere.  There is no shortage of anything you need or desire. 

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where it is and how to get it!

Isaiah 45:3  (KJV)

And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places...

When He shows it to you, go after it with all the strength He gives you.  It’s important to note that He doesn’t just show you what to do or where your blessings are, but He also empowers you to take possession.

 John 2:5 (NKJV)

…Whatever He says to you, do it.

I love the story of the Prodigal son.  He took his inheritance, squandered it then found himself broke and eating the food given for the pigs.  But one day, light dawned and he humbled himself and went back home to his dad.

 His Father saw him coming, ran to meet him, gave a big party in his honor, put a ring on his finger and lavished him with more love and abundance!

Luke 15:20-24 (KJV)

²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
²¹ And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
²³ And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

That's how God, your Father, is.  He knew you would make some mistakes along life's way.  He knew some of your choices would not be the best for you at the end of the day.  He knew you would squander some things.  But He has great plans for you anyhow. 

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)

¹¹ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ¹² Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

He is the only one that can give us our past back but greater than before.

And though your beginning was small, your latter days shall be very great.

Joel 2:25-26 (NKJV)

 

 I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…

You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied…

And My people shall never be put to shame.

 

He's just waiting for you to come home.  He's waiting for you to ask for His help.  He’s waiting to lavish you with all the wonderful plans He prepared for you long ago.
So forgive yourself, surrender and come home to your glorious inheritance.
